My name is Mr. CoCo. I am a handsome 6-year-old AKC-registered male Miniature Schnauzer, looking for my forever home. My foster mom describes me as a very nice boy! I have certificates verifying no problems with my heart and knees. I am completely vetted, being up to date on shots, heart worm tests (negative), neutered, a good blood work-up, and microchipped. I had a dental cleaning in October 2023. I am very energetic, so I would require either a fenced yard or active people to take me on daily walks. I get along with non-dominant dogs. Chloe – Adopted!

Hello, my name is Chloe — which is a feminine name of Greek origin, meaning “blooming” — and I would love to be picked by you to continue blooming in your family garden. I am 12 years old and have a terrier-mix bloodline. As you can see my large brown eyes are set off beautifully by my lovely golden-brown fur. I found myself at Second Chance Small Dog Rescue because my senior parents were no longer able to care for me. I like playing and socializing with other dogs and bigger humans so I would be better suited to a home without young children. I am up to date on my vaccinations, spayed, heartworm negative, and on prevention. I recently had a successful dental visit and some bloodwork done — the vet reported that all was good “for my age” — so I plan on being around for a long time. I weigh approx. 12 lbs. Adopted! – Oreo (Chihuahua mix)

Oreo is a chihuahua mix born in 2017. She is house trained and loves to sit on a lap and watch TV. She came to SCSDR and was adopted into a loving home in Arlington, TX. Crate and paper trained, she loves long walks on a leash in her neighborhood. She is also the chief inspector when pizza is delivered and smells each box to approve it before anyone eats!

Cookie is a chihuahua/terrier mix, born to Oreo in 2022. Fully vetted, chipped, and crate trained, she gets along with other dogs, and loves to play. She was adopted into a nice home with a large fenced in yard where she runs and plays freely.

Pete is an active, playful Shih Pom born in March, 2022. Ha has learned a variety commands while in foster care and responds to “sit”, “down”, and “good boy” for his new owners.

Adopted! – Midge (Shih Tzu)

Midge is a retired breeder female that is loving being a normal house dog. She was born in 2014 and up to date on her shots, spayed, dental, and is heartworm negative. She is such a happy girl – tail wages all the time. She is crate trained, working on house training and is a great swimmer. Midge is a loving companion to the members of her new adoptive home.

Betsie is a 7-year old miniature poodle who found her forever home in August, 2022. For a puppy mill gal, she is amazingly friendly and especially likes children who are respectful with her. Betsie gets along with other dogs as well as her feline housemate. She is crate trained and doing well on house training. Betsie the fenced yard she needed and learned to walk on a leash after proper training. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and heart worm negative.
