Small Dog Rescue

Chase, poodle — Adopted!

Chase, soon-to-be 5 years old, is a retired breeder, so he is accustomed to being with lots of dogs; for that reason we suggest that his forever home has an existing dog to show him the ropes and keep him company when his humans are away.
He is somewhat shy and will retreat to his spot on the couch when he’s unsure. Loud noises or voices make him uneasy, so a calm household might serve him the best. Over time, he will likely come out of his shell more; this is simply what we’ve observed thus far.
Chase is comfortable on a tie-out or walking leash; a fenced yard is encouraged but not required.
He does not have experience with children, so we recommend that his adoptive home not have children younger than 9-10 years old and that they be respectful of dogs.
Chase is crate trained; neutered; heart worm negative; up to date on vet care; doing very well on house training.
He is being fostered in Grand Rapids, Michigan and his adoption fee is $400. For more information, contact his foster mom Michelle at m.vangeest@att.net or 616-949-7813.
