Lacy, Pretty Pomeranian

Lacy is 6 years old and weighs about 8 lbs. She is a former breeder who will blossom as she learns to navigate a loving home environment. She is good with others dogs; a good lap dog; described as quiet and shy. Lacy is comfortable sleeping in her crate and making progress on house training. She uses a doggy door pretty well at this point. Lacy will need a fenced yard (potty area) because she is not yet comfortable on a leash and will do best with a canine buddy to help her adjust to her forever home. Daisy, miniature poodle—Pending Adoption

Daisy is a 6 year old female apricot miniature poodle. She weighs about 9.5 pounds, is up to date on shots, heart worm negative and working on house breaking. Daisy will be spayed prior to being adopted. She would be a good companion for an owner! Jasper, Miniature Poodle Mix

Jasper is a friendly and active miniature poodle mix who prefers women and children—he seems wary of men. His coat is described as merle, being a mix of a black & silver—and spotted like a jasper stone! He is a former breeder and approximately 6 years old and 15 lbs. Jasper is making progress on house training and is quiet in his crate! Loves toys, chew bones, and retrieving little tennis balls. He walks pretty well on a leash and will get better with more practice. Good with other small dogs and a cat. He would love a fenced yard to run in and a canine buddy to show him the ropes. Missy, Adopted!

“Missy” was found in Cromwell, Indiana, flea-covered and matted. Her coat is still growing back from being de-matted but she will look beautiful in the future! She has been estimated to be 2-3 years old. She has light amber eyes and weighs about 7 lbs., is spayed and microchipped. She loves to give kisses, likes the outdoors/exploring/daily walks and is pretty good at listening to voice commands. Missy is calm, not too playful, likes to keep her human in sight. She needs continued work on house training. Her happy place is the bed, but she’s good in a crate also. Somewhat of a barker (stranger, other animals, and when foster dad leave the house). Patty Cake, Adopted!

Meet little Patty Cake, so named because she frequently stands on hind legs and “begs” with her front paws, as if she were playing “Patty Cake.” This happy little girl is 5 years old, a retired breeder. Patty is crate trained and doing well on house breaking but will need continued positive training. Because of her size and past life of breeding, we recommend a household with no young children (under age 10). She is not yet comfortable walking on a leash, so a fenced yard is needed. Patty Cake doesn’t understand yet how to play with toys, so a well-adjusted dog in the home would be helpful to her development. She is good with other dogs. Patty Cake is fully vetted, including a fresh dental cleaning. Her adoption fee is $400. Senior Poodle/Yorkie mixes

Pearl (black, female) and CoCo (cream, male) are 11-year-old senior dogs that are looking for their forever homes. We want them to be adopted together as they have always been together. These two are very nice, friendly dogs. CoCo is a lap dog. Their coats and build favor the Poodle breed; they will need regular grooming. Pearl and CoCo are crate trained and housebroken. Pearl has been spayed; CoCo has been neutered. Both have had dental cleaning, heart worm test, blood work, and vaccinations. These lovely dogs were surrendered when their owners lost their home and had to give them up. Adoption fee is $300 for the pair. Sophie, Adopted!

Meet Sophie, a 5-1/2 year old Schnauzer Poodle mix with unusual coloring for the breed; she is white with tan ears and a few tan spots. She is described by her foster mom as “easy to care for” but very active, so Sophie’s forever home should have a fenced yard and someone to play with—maybe kids older than 8 or even another playful canine friend. She loves to play with other dogs, does well on a long leash. She is crate trained, house trained and knows basic commands. Because of her breed mix, she will need to be groomed regularly. Toola, Schnauzer mix—Adopted

COULD SHE BE YOUR LUCKY CHARM? Toola is a 3 year old female, weighing 15#. Probably a Schnauzer/terrier mix. Toola is an owner-surrender; a very sweet dog in need of a good home. She is good with other dogs, likes toys and playing with other dogs. Toola is ideally suited as a companion for a senior or couple. A fenced yard is preferred. Ruby—Adopted!

Ruby is a 7 year old female King Charles Cavalier, weighing about 15#. She is doing well on house breaking and is crate trained. She is gentle and sweet natured. Ruby is able to walk on leash with a properly fitting harness. A fenced yard is recommended for her safety as she is used to running loose in a fenced yard. Ruby gets along well with other dogs; we don’t know if she has experience with cats. She is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and will be spayed soon, at which time she will have a dental cleaning. Therefore, we expect she will be ready for adoption around March 9. Candy, Miniature Schnauzer–Adopted!

Candy is a 6 year old miniature Schnauzer; a retired breeder. She is initially shy but very much a lap dog, once she is comfortable. Candy is fully vetted with required vaccinations, spayed, heart worm negative; and she had a dental cleaning. She is crate trained and doing well on house training. She is good with other dogs and probably older children.

Leroy, terrier mix

Charlie — Adopted

Charlie is a 4 year old King Charles Cavalier; retired breeder. Charlie has been neutered and updated on any necessary vaccines and heart worm test. A fenced (physical fence) potty area is required since he is currently not used to a leash. Preference will be given to a home with an existing, well-adjusted dog for Charlie to follow around. He is friendly but quite shy — as is typical with retired breeders. He will need time and patience to gain trust in people, but consistent love will win him over. Charlie is pretty low-key, and might even sit on your lap.
