A DNA test shows the puppies are half Boston Terrier with heavy influence of Jack Russell Terrier. The black and white puppies are females. Black & Brindle are male and a female.
Toola is a 3 year old female, weighing 15#. Probably a Schnauzer/terrier mix. Toola is an owner-surrender; a very sweet dog in need of a good home. She is good with other dogs, likes toys and playing with other dogs. Toola is ideally suited as a companion for a senior or couple. A fenced yard is preferred. She is crate trained and housebroken with a schedule. She is fully vetted: spayed, HW neg, UTD on all shots. Ruby is a 7 year old female King Charles Cavalier, weighing about 15#. She is doing well on house breaking and is crate trained. She is gentle and sweet natured. Ruby is able to walk on leash with a properly fitting harness. A fenced yard is recommended for her safety as she is used to running loose in a fenced yard. Ruby gets along well with other dogs; we don’t know if she has experience with cats. She is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and will be spayed soon, at which time she will have a dental cleaning. Therefore, we expect she will be ready for adoption around March 9. Candy is a 6 year old miniature Schnauzer; a retired breeder. She is initially shy but very much a lap dog, once she is comfortable. Candy is fully vetted with required vaccinations, spayed, heart worm negative; and she had a dental cleaning. She is crate trained and doing well on house training. She is good with other dogs and probably older children.
Candy is not yet leash trained so a fenced yard is required (physical fence, not electronic). If you are interested in adopting her, please contact her foster mom Mary at (574) 524-6040. Charlie is a 4 year old King Charles Cavalier; retired breeder. Charlie has been neutered and updated on any necessary vaccines and heart worm test. A fenced (physical fence) potty area is required since he is currently not used to a leash. Preference will be given to a home with an existing, well-adjusted dog for Charlie to follow around. He is friendly but quite shy — as is typical with retired breeders. He will need time and patience to gain trust in people, but consistent love will win him over. Charlie is pretty low-key, and might even sit on your lap.

Buddy is a 9-year-old Havanese who spent his life as a breeder without having the luxury of being someone’s special little dog! He came to our rescue in fall of 2024, scared of humans, withdrawn, and not showing interest in life. Most of his time was spent in his crate, where he simply quivered. It took many months for him to realize he was safe; it was heart-warming to see him lie peacefully in his open crate like he had not a care in the world! Though making progress, Buddy is still quite shy with humans, and his adopter will need to be gentle and patient with him to continue his progress. He is quiet, gentle and compliant (particularly with grooming). He gets along well with other dogs and would benefit from a canine friend to show him the ropes. A fenced potty area is required until Buddy gets comfortable on a leash or tie-out. Buddy is current on vaccinations, heart worm negative and had a dental cleaning in August of 2024. Sammy is a small Maltese, about 8.5#. Retired breeder. Age 4 years. Very social and active, smart and gentle; loves to chase toys. Crate trained. He needs continued work on house training and walking on a leash. Sammy would really enjoy an energetic small canine friend and a fenced yard.
