This is a courtesy post for a senior dog who needs a forever home. Leroy is a 15# senior terrier mix, whose owner is no longer able to take care of him. He is neutered. Leroy is at Dogtown Resort in Middlebury, IN. If interested in adopting him, contact Caroline at Dogtown, (574) 849-0844.
Charlie is a 4 year old King Charles Cavalier; retired breeder. Charlie has been neutered and updated on any necessary vaccines and heart worm test. You must have an existing, well-adjusted dog to show Charlie the ropes, and a fenced (physical fence) yard is strongly recommended. He is friendly but a bit shy — as is typical with retired breeders. He will need time and patience to gain trust in people, but consistent love will win him over. Henry is pretty low-key, and might even sit on your lap.
If you are interested in Charlie, please complete an adoption application online. His adoption fee is $450. For details, call or text Mary at (574) 524-6040 and leave your name, phone number and brief message. She will respond at her earliest convenience.
Miss Opal is a 5 year-old tricolor full-size Bernese Mountain Dog and a former breeder. She loves affection when you’ve earned her trust. Opal is good with other dogs, cats and rabbits, and is pretty social for a former breeder. Good with respectful children. A PHYSICAL (not electric) fenced yard is required as she needs room to safely run. She is learning “Wait,” “Come,” and “Go to kennel;” crate trained and house trained (though some accidents may occur when moving to a new home). Preference given to applicants within 75 miles of Elkhart, Indiana. Opal is up to date on shots. She will be a great family companion. Opal will need a fair amount of time to address her anxiety and continue her training in her forever home. Adoption fee: $400. For more information on Opal, contact her foster mom Linda via Call or Text (574) 215-0760.
